The state has allowed MSRTC bus services to resume inter district bus servieces from thrusday. The govt permitted passengers to travel at any corner of the state without an e pass or covid free certificate as long as they use only the ST.
Even the kokan-bound passengers for whom special bus services had been started some days ago in the view of ganesh uthsav later in this month, will no longer require a covidfree certificate
The travel in the private vehicals will continue to be restricted and require an E-pass for interdistrict journeys as well
Only 22 passengers will be allowed per bus and all must wear a mask, said the maharashtra state road transport corporation(MSRTC). There will be only one passenger for two seats.
It is for the first time since the lockdown was benn announced five months ago that the state will allow travel from any district to any other without an e pass
My opinion regarding the action taken
Resumptions of the serivces will obiviously help the MSRTC to meet the salary obligations of the workers working together with the MSRTC, but as the covid cases in the country are rising day by day with a rapid number MSRTC should take strict actions regarding the rules as designed by the higher authority. Fines should be imposed on the passengers who doesn’t follow the rules as per mentioned by the authority.
